Love the Skin You're In is a virtual therapeutic group at Soar & Rest designed to help individuals heal their relationship with food, their body, and themselves. Sessions use somatic, self-compassion, and mindfulness-based approaches to address disordered eating, body shame, binge eating, and trauma connected to food and body.

Who is the group for?

Tuesday sessions are designed for adolescents ages 15 to 17. Thursday sessions are for adults 18 and above. Both sessions meet virtually from 6:00 to 7:30 PM. The group is open to anyone navigating disordered eating, addictive eating patterns, body shame, or a difficult relationship with food and self-image.

What does the group address?

The group addresses disordered and addictive eating, binge eating and the diet and binge cycle, body shame and negative body image, trauma connected to food and body, emotional eating, and self-worth. Sessions draw from somatic interventions, self-compassion practices, and mindfulness for lasting recovery.

Sessions are led by licensed clinicians at Soar & Rest who are Certified Shame Informed Treatment Specialists with specialized training in body shame, eating disorders, addictive eating, and trauma. This is not a general support group — it is a clinically led therapeutic group.
